Edinburgh is Scotland’s captial city and is packed full of culture and history. Although not the largest city in Scotland there is lots of attractions and different places to visit. Just outside Edinburgh you can view over 1000 rare and beautiful animals in Edinburgh Zoo. The zoo is open throughout the year even including Christmas Day. A regular bus service from the city centre makes it easy for visitors to get there.
Edinburgh is a city full of museums. Located on the Royal Mile is the Museum of Edinburgh is which has exhibits featuring many of Edinburgh’s most famous citizens. In August Edinburgh literally comes alove as it plays host to a number of festivals the most famous of which is the Edinburgh Festival. You should also visit the Palace of Holyrood which is located on the Royal Mile and is the official residence of Her Majesty the Queen in Scotland.
