Open Question: How was your experience with the LVN program at Casa Loma College in Van Nuys?
I am moving to valencia, CA in august and wad very intereste din attending Casa Loma’s LVN program in Van Nuys. I wanted to know about other peoples experiences with this school were with the LVN program. I am thinking about starting in sept. I am meeting with admissions in June. How were the teachers? What were the other students like? How much financial aid did you recieve? Any kind of information helps! thanks!!
Open Question: Resolving issues with a career college failing to place.?
Ive been in school to become a DA for a year. Now it is time for my internship and my school can not place me. Not only that but I placed myself in a position only to find out that my school had not prepared me and ended up losing my site.
I was a 4.0 student and top of my class no problems at all. The problem is the school. I can not even get them to return my calls. My husband who is still a student at the school was told that it is now the responsibility of the students to place themselves.
I am now past the time limit for my internship and the school is saying I will lose my grants and owe them everything and that they can take both my income tax return and have my wages of a future job forwarded to them.
My question is, aren’t career colleges required to place a certain amount of students in a specific time frame to stay in business? Do I have any legal right to refuse to pay them or at least make them cover the amount of the grants that I am losing due to their negligence?
I have a meeting tomorrow with the president and would love some advice on how to come out of this with as little financial damage as possible. Please any advice, personal experiences, or sources for more information would be deeply deeply appreciated.

Three separate people today asked me to stop trying to get the masses onto friendfeed. Turns out there are a lot of people who liked friendfeed when it was “uncool” better. I think friendfeed is going to disappoint these users long term as it goes more mainstream.
