Open Question: My boyfriend doesn’t like getting involved with planning things. Is this normal?
I have been looking forward to a vacation (I work) with my boyfriend (who’s in college still) for a long time. His spring break is coming up, so I told him we should take a weekend and go out of town, since we don’t get much time to ourselves (a couple hours a day) as I live at home with strict parents, and we are both busy.

He agreed but everytime I brought it up to begin planning, he never seemed enthusiastic about it (“So where should we go? What would you want to do?” “I dunno. Whereever.”) We finally picked out a place together, but as far as where to stay, the transportation, reservations, and things to do, I have essentially researched and planned out the whole trip myself. I am also paying for the bulk of it.

Finally, I asked him if he could get online and talk to me really fast about lodging so we could decide and finalize things (he was on his study break) and he refused, telling me that it didn’t matter, he didn’t care, and to just book whatever was cheapest.

Is this just normal guy behavior? Or does he just not care? I don’t want to waste money on a trip that he isn’t even that into.

Open Question: why do people in this section think real wrestling is easy and stupid?
i felt the need to ask considering i scanned through the whole section looking for questions on real wrestling, and every one i found had at least one answer bashing it.
so i’m 14 years old.
i’ve won 2 national titles and 3 state.
my day involves waking up in the morning to lift weights, going to school, getting picked up to go home and eat a healthy dinner and then driving almost 2 hours for an elite practice while finishing homework on the ride, coming home and going to bed early so i can wake up and do it again.
on the weekends, while my classmates are sleeping in, i’m up at 5:30 to drive to a tournament.
i can never eat like a normal teenager…ever. i even had to eat healthy on thanksgiving and christmas because of upcoming tournaments.
i rarely sleep in my own bed, and never hang out with people from my school.
the only friends i hang out with are my teammates, and thats at practice and inbetween matches.
i’ve been on this schedule since i became elite at age 9. and i’ve had to maintain my weight since i began wrestling at age 7.
the last time i’ve had any baked goods was my birthday…one piece of cake.
i’m in a different state every weekend.
my uncle was a pro football player and is now a hall of fame coach. i got to try his practice last week and my wrestling practice makes his look like a piece of cake.
just like wwe wrestlers, i too have to perform in front of thousands of people. for example, there were 15,000 people at states, however i had to go on without a script…and my first time there was at 10 years old.
my family vacation in the summer is the only time i don’t have practices, i wake up at 6 and take 5 mile runs instead.
how is this considered easy? whoever has the nerve to bash a sport that affects how you live 24/7 obviously doesn’t know anything about it.
for the record, i love my life and wouldn’t change it for the world. while your glued to your tv making bets over a “sport” that is staged, i’m accomplishing something that i plan to go very far with. and maybe your right, i should get a life like you, cuz watching tv is so much better than being an athlete…no thanks bud, i’m good.
